Vallen JPegger is a nice freeware tool created by Vallen Systeme. The program can manage over forty different multimedia file types, including some sound files as well. (Actually, this tool can also be used also as a basic MP3 player and organizer.) Although Windows already includes an Image Viewer, it is somehow limited to some image file types.
The interface of the program is extremely intuitive, as it matches that of most Windows applications. You can zoom, rotate, flip, and manipulate images in different ways. One of the things the developers take pride in is the lossless JPEG rotator. Unlike rotation in other similar applications, this one allows the user to rotate an image without suffering any kind of data loss.
The program includes a very comprehensive help file that can help you solve most of your doubts and questions. Perhaps the only inconvenience of the program is the fact that the images get reduced in the program's main window in order to give space to menu items. However, this is but a minor nuisance. Other than that, the program is very useful and powerful. Vallen JPegger runs under Windows, both in 32- and 64-bit environments.
